Steel Inquisitor

I've been reading Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy. I'm just starting the third book, and so far I really like the series. This is the image that popped in my head during the first book when introduced to the Steel Inquisitors. I drew this digitally, in Corel Painter.

I just saw this linked from Brandon Sanderson's blog and wanted to say that's great! I always envisioned the steel inquisitors with the cowl up, but your work reminds me that Sanderson himself usually mentions the points of the spikes are visible sticking out the back, which you wouldn't see with the cowl up. I myself am just getting through the 3rd book of Mistborn.

This is great Brandon! I love how you made a close up out of the cover art of tHoA, which I like very much as well.
I love the idea of the spikes sticking out a little in front of the eye sockets. I did not imagine that, but I really like the idea.
Would you draw Marsh different from the regular Steel Inquisitors?

Cheers,

Pieter

Thanks for the comments! To answer your question, Pieter, I would probably draw Marsh a bit different, with one spike driven deeper into the socket like what happened to him in the second book. Honestly, I would imagine they'd all have something a little different about each of them. This sketch was just from my immediate, first impression.

Thanks,
